Aaron Zeller

Hello, my name is Aaron Zeller and I am from St. Columbkille Parish. I am the second of three children in my family. Although I was born in Omaha, I lived in Michigan for 9 years. I moved back Homaha in the summer after my freshman year and went to Bryan High School but switched to Mount Michael Benedictine for my junior and senior years.
For just about as long as I can remember, I have been told to be a priest. I always told myself that I was not meant to be a priest and so kept running from God and His Will. Even though I kept running, God kept up with me. It was not until the summer after my junior year that I decided to listen to God realized that it was a possibility that I am called to the priesthood and so decided to apply to be a seminarian. I still was, and am, not sure whether the priesthood is my vocation but I figured that the seminary is a great place to discern.
Now even though I am attending Benedictine College this year instead of seminary, I still feel as though I may be able to give advice to someone who thinks that they may be called to the priesthood. The only advice I can give is to just apply and go to seminary. Entering the seminary does not mean becoming an ordained priest, but it does mean discerning God’s Call for yourself which is something that every Catholic needs to do.
Do not just pray to God but listen to Him too.
God Bless,
Aaron Zeller
