Welcome to the Family Life Office website in the Archdiocese of Omaha, Nebraska!
For nearly thirty years, our Family Life Office has been committed to “awareness that understands, caring that enables, ministry that serves, and structures that truly facilitate.” Our ministries support families in a special way.
The ministries within our office include Aging and Disabilities, Marriage Preparation and Enrichment, along with Marriage and Family Spirituality, Widowed, Divorced and Separated, Natural Family Planning, Rural Life, National Black Catholic Congress, an on-line Media Center and FOCCUS, Inc. USA.
Our Hispanic Marriage and Family ministries include marriage preparation for teens and adults, el amor nuestro de cada dia, bodas sencillas, and familias creando un circulo de paz as well as FOCCUS, Natural Family Planning, parenting Education and baptism classes.
We are here to serve individuals and families like you and yours, people from all walks of life, from those not yet born to the very young and the very old. We serve those preparing for marriage, baptizing a baby, facing the loss of a loved one or the loss of a marriage, and those who seek education on parenting, marriage enrichment, and prayer resources from the church and for home use.
The Family Life Office focuses on all stages of life and provides training and resources in the Catholic tradition. The staff in our office is involved in leadership training and support for parish leaders, retreats for fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, and development and distribution of materials for a wide range of ministry needs. We serve with others in associated ministries such as Catholic Engaged Encounter, Marriage Encounter, and Retrouvaille.
Recognized locally, nationally, and internationally, we are regularly called upon to share our collective wisdom and expertise with others who are committed to serving families.
